AWS to launch data centers in United Arab Emirates

AWS air is expanding its presence in the Middle East, with three new data centers based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They will go live in the first half of 2022 and expand the company’s presence in the region, which is currently limited to Bahrain, the company announced Wednesday. AWS currently has 80 such centers around the world.

15 Azure announcements from Microsoft Build 2021

The three-day Microsoft Build 2021 developers conference started virtually today with the No. 2 cloud provider introducing a slew of updates to its Azure cloud computing capabilities. Azure announcements ranged from artificial intelligence (AI) features, to app services running on Kubernetes clusters with Azure Arc, to Azure Cosmos DB enhancements.

New data cloud technologies provide an intelligent fabric across data lakes, data warehouses, and databases providing real-time insights powered by machine learning

 

Oracle launches Arm-based cloud computing service using Ampere chips

Oracle Corp launched a cloud computing service powered by data center chips from Ampere Computing based on technology from Arm Ltd, the second major cloud company to offer an Arm-based service after Amazon.com's (AMZN.O) Amazon Web Services.
